Advertising by definition is a means of communication with the users of a product or service. Advertisements are messages paid for by those who send them and are intended to inform or influence people who receive them, as defined by the Advertising Association of the UK.
Advertising is always present in many forms which we notice in day to day lives may it be a TV ad, radio jingle, print ad etc. We notice that different businesses promote their product or service in different communication mediums to attract customers buy their product/service.

In order to promote a product we need to devise a strategy/plan on how we should communicate to the targeted audience for this , we conceptualise an idea, plan execution through different communications channels.Once, we are clear with the message,we need to define/plan a advertising strategy to promote the product/service using any one of the marketing communications(ATL,BTL activities) available. Choosing right communication channels to reach out to identified/intended audience is crucial for marketing success, This is called marketing where promotion is involved.
